Half shoes vs toe socks
Half shoes (also called toe shoes) cover the front of the foot while leaving the heel free, giving gymnasts the grip they need for turns, balances and pivots on carpet. Some gymnasts prefer knitted toe socks for a lighter, more flexible feel. The best choice depends on personal preference, foot shape and what your coach recommends. Sizing and fit
Half shoes should fit snugly without restricting movement. Most brands follow standard European sizing, but fit can vary — Venturelli's Soft Shape model runs slightly differently to Sasaki or Dvillena options. We recommend checking the size guide on each product page. If you are between sizes, going slightly smaller usually gives a better performance fit. For training and competition
All of our half shoes are suitable for both training and competition use. They are designed to work on standard rhythmic gymnastics carpet surfaces. For gymnasts training on harder floors, models with thicker sole pads offer extra cushioning and grip.

Dvillena Sahara toe shoes are ideal beginner toe shoes. They are very soft and suit gymnasts starting out in rhythmic gymnastics, as well as those for whom softness and comfort matter more than resistance. With the new silicone-injected rubbers, the toe cap remains 100% attached to the foot and does not move during exercises.
